Nutrition knowledge in paediatric intensive care

{blacksquare} There are three categories (including 18 key areas) related to nutrition outlined in the Health of the Nation strategy

{blacksquare} Paediatrics and intensive care were areas where knowledge of nutrition was regarded as important

{blacksquare} The pilot questionnaire reflects knowledge levels in the study unit; further refinement of the tool would be necessary for future studies

{blacksquare} The nutrition knowledge among nursing staff was less than shown in other studies

{blacksquare} The study highlighted an urgent need for nutrition education among the nursing staff in the unit.
