{blacksquare} Nurturing a child's spirituality should be an integral part of holistic care.

{blacksquare} The concept of spirituality is linked to the child's cognitive, social, psycho-sexual and moral development.

{blacksquare} Knowledge of childhood spirituality can help to support children coping with traumatic life-events.

{blacksquare} The expression of beliefs and feelings that encompass spirituality can be facilitated through literature and music and through other strategies.

{blacksquare} Educators need to empower professionals to have the awareness, emotional resources and skills to ensure that they can be spiritually supportive
